The treadwear rating really only a general reference. Tires with the same wear rating but from different manufacturers will not wear the same. Also, tires in different performance categories (all season vs performance, and all the subcategories therein) wear differently, too.
I've had Pirellis in the past P7000Z Supersports (all season, 220 wear rating) that wore quicker than their summer counterparts P7000Z Summers (with 140 wear rating). Pirellis just wear fast-indicative of their roadgrip.
My personal experience with GS-D3s is that they have surprising longevity, given their tenacious grip (especially in the wet). I've got 30k+ miles out several sets of GS-D3s I've had on my cars. 30K miles out of summer tires is extraordinary, IMO.
My current set is at 31k+ and are due replacement soon....
