You might want to do a web search on this since the radio is shared with many other GM vehicles. I'm not 100% sure the faceplate plastic material is shared though. I worked on that radio from the marketing product planning side so I'm slightly saddened at this issue your having, (but it wasn't my fault :-). We did fight for better button feel, CD/MP3 capability, and the aux. input jack, but I swear that the Monte Carlo rental I had with that same radio felt better than the radio on the Black Tie Saabs I've driven. That has me thinking these radios may be produced in different plants, especially since the display colors vary and the vehicles using the radios are built all around the world.
