For Sprocketsaab and all who care: interior noises are not hard to deal with: your door seals should be the newer design (they have a felt texture) but they may make noise as the body twists. Apply silicon jell their adjacent metal surfaces.
Seats may have leather on leather creaks. I highly recommend a product called I think Liquid Film. The important thing is it is lanolin. Yeah. sheep fat; it will not discolor anything except maybe your rubber coated dash buttons. Spray between upper and lower cushions, plastic trim and cushion edge, etc.
Inject the spray into any seams on dash--you can pull out most of the center stack by hand. The ACC control pod has multiple plastic parts. Spray em all. Ash tray, shift surround, any snap on piece is suspect. Spray the edges of the rear seats and cushion joins as well. There are some factory bulletins on door squeaks; I thought those were solved by now. Sunroof: silicon jell on tracks, clean felt gaskets, inspect that crappy flip up wing. Be aware that the plastic housing above mirror can creak. It pulls out; spray the backside. In all cases give a good soak of lano, drive, then wipe off excess.
Why are Saabs a little loose? Go to the Audi forum and search out the article re Audi's noise squad. They go above the Arctic Circle and drive around with a guy in the trunk. Listening. But Audi's don't cost $28K. Basically, Saab uses a lower level of materials where "it doesn't count" which is interior trim. You would have no squeaks, rattles, etc if all your trim was removed. But. . .
Hope this helps. Final tip: 50 series tires on 17" rims will kill you; high tire pressures and stiff tires ditto. Try a few days at 26 psi, just like Acura did for years. Dry climates are bad, dry cold climates are the worst, as plastics loose, ha, their plasticity. I have owned one car in my life that simply will not squeak, rattle, groan, whine, piss me off. Audi Allroad. But I love driving my Saab now that it is quiet. Oh, tires. You guys may not like this, but BFG T/A non speed rated are utterly quiet on our Jag, and don't squeal like a piggy around corners. Cheap, last forever tires. Ho hum.
