Oil changes are specified by the SID but are approx. 15,000 mi (as low as 8,000). Some people, including me, prefer to do oil changes at 50% which is about 7,500 mi. I believe that frequent oil changes is a good thing. Some people are more compulsive than me and do it as every 5,000 mi. I don't think this is needed but I'm no expert. When I had a classic 900, I changed it every 90 days, but that was with non-synethetic. Some 90 days, I drove as few as 1,800 mi.
The oil change interval is separate from the 45,000 mi check since the oil change interval runs on a separate algorthm.
At 45,000 mi., it's a cabin air filter (not the same as the air filter for the engine). Usually it's done with the oil change near 45,000 mi since it's not that critical. The other stuff done are just visual checks, like check lights, check the CV joint boots (rubber funnel shaped things inside of the wheels, fluid levels, see if there are any leaks under the car, etc.
The bigger check is at 60,000 miles where the serpentine belt (fan belt) changed, spark plugs, air filter, cabin air filter, some visual checks are done.
This is all from memory but I'm not too forgetful.
