I have a 2006 Aero with 21k miles on it. I've only had the car about a month but I think the transmission (6spd auto) acts funny.
1) It takes a long time to engage when shifting from Reverse to Drive. When I back out of the driveway I literally have to wait a few seconds after I put it into drive before I give it any throttle. Does this sound normal??
2) When I'm accelerating normally (not hard) I noticed that the 4 to 5 shift is sometimes abrupt like the tranny just drops into gear. Anyone else notice the same things?
I wanted to check the fluid, but I can't find the dipstick. I guess this is a "fill for life" transmission. It seems like its low to me... Any thoughts? Thanks!
