The fuel level sensor is part of the fuel pump assembly, and it's cost is around $500. However, since pumps tend to last 75-k to 100-k miles, it might not be a bad idea to change it instead of being stranded somewhere. If the dealer does the work expect a bill of $1000-$1200; an independant might be cheaper. The other option is to fill the tank, reset the trip mileage and refill when you have 50 miles of gas left... Ron
