I've been dealing with the same issue on my '03 Vector. What I found is that since it was me who was resetting the memory I used memory 3 for myself and 1 or 2 for my wife who, opposite to your situation, was getting in and out without touching the buttons. In my case only memory location 3 was reset. Now if I hear the memory reset bip when I get out of the car it does not bother me since it overwrites my own settings with the same information. So you can try saving her settings in 3 and yours in 1 and 2 and see if it helps.
