Saab addict seeking new 9-3 opinions Posted by Saabpilot [Email] ![]() ![]() |
This would be Saab #10 for me, but I've never owned a 9-3. It's about the only thing since the 99 that I haven't owned....
I currently have a 2003 9-5 Aero. A recent promotion at work comes with a leased car of my choice, up to a certain budget. The budget will afford a 9-3 Aero, but not a 9-5 Aero.
NAV is pretty much a must. I drove a 2008 9-3 Aero Sedan with NAV yesterday and really liked it, even though it's smaller than my 9-5. I think I'm interested in a Combi versus a sedan but am having trouble locating an Aero Combi with NAV. I'm going to have my dealer of choice search for one.
What are your opinions of each? The thing that has me questioning the sedan is the trunk is so much smaller than my 9-5 trunk.
My only major disappointment is the lack of built-in Bluetooth. In my 9-5, I installed a Motorola IHF-1000. I can do the same in a new Saab, but would have to disconnect OnStar (unless someone is aware of a way to splice both into the handsfree harness and have them both continue to function). Anyone with experience with a 2008 with NAV, OnStar and Bluetooth please feel free to offer advice!
Thanks.
