This is strange.... As of this morning, the official GM web page listing vehicle eligibility for the Employee Discount Purchase Plan shows the 2009 Corvette ZR1 as ONLY vehicle not eligible for the discount. This page was last updated on June 16th, about the same time the rumors started about loss of eligibility for the 2009 9-3 family.
The discount price sheets also continue to show all Saab vehicles, with prices effective with start of 2009 model year.
The only thing different I noticed is the header of the Vehicle Eligibility List boldly states that Dealership participation is voluntary. In the past this note was hidden in the fine print.
Wait and see how long, if ever, the official GM Employee Purchase Plan guidelines are updated with this rumored change. Maybe it is true, maybe there is another shrouded reason.
