Bitter cold temps and "gassy" smell from car... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 14 Jan 2009 14:42:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My wife got home from work tonight (4 miles at 20mph due to slippery roads) and said she noticed gassy smells in her car, a 2006 9-3SC. I checked the garage and did not notice anything, but an hour later it was evident it was coming from her car.
I "think" it is the combination of bitter cold temperatures (negative 6 degrees Farenheit this morning) and a cold engine, meaning it will go away when the temps increase this weekend (or she drives far enough to fully warm up the engine). But could it be something else/serious?
23,000 miles on her car.
Thanks,
