Well, Actually, that was the first thing I proposed to the dealer. But, so it would appear, this is verboten (at least in Canada) - the dealer who sold it to me is no longer in business, and the dealer who took over their clients (an actual SAAB dealer) won't do it. I even asked if I could arrange to have a wholesaler make an offer that they thought was better than they'd get at auction. Nope.

And ya, I suggested that it would be beneficial to both of us to SPLIT any savings by going that route, but they say there's just no way.

I got them to shave about a grand off what it was supposed to cost me to buy it out...

Anyway, notwithstanding the clever approaches to saving money (which I respect and appreciate! :) my BIG question is WHAT DO OTHER 06 AERO OWNERS THINK ABOUT THE BUILD QUALITY AND RELIABILITY of their SAAB, and are there any horor stories floating around about this particular car that I should be weary of... it's such a sweet ride, really turns heads, and seems to be very happy at 3.

But there's not much in the forums or online about how the new V6 Turbo power plant and 6 speed auto that I'm pretty sure were introduced in '06 are holding up, nor is there much talk about the impressions of other '06 aero 'vert owners in general.

So, ya, I'm being neurotic, but hey... car lust is a terrible affliction. Help a brother out here.. ;)

Thanks guys.

Earl
