Fuses and relays?

Are all the fuses and relays still in their sockets? Silly question, but you never know. There should be a few empty relay sockets in the underhood panels, but it wouldn't hurt to check, or snap a photo and post it so we can compare it to another one.
The chime not sounding along with nothing on the screen is probably indicative that the SID is not being powered, is fried, or possibly that the anti-theft immobilizer is active and the car is shut down, but I actually don't know if that will disable the SID and warning chime and messages it gives - I think it still gives an 'IMMOBILIZER ACTIVE' warning message on the SID if you continue to try to start it.
For the SID and radio, maybe the transport fuse has been removed or blown? Look in the fuse block by the driver's door a-pillar hinge, the giant 40 amp orange maxi fuse at the top of the fuse block should be installed and should not be blown - if it is that explains why the radio and SID aren't working.
If you pull the big orange fuse there should be +12V on one pole even with the key off, see if it's completely dead.
Echo SAABDOC - are the interior lights working? Sounds like you may have some sort of power delivery problem, bus communication problem between the ignition switch and the CIM, or maybe a bad CIM.
Then there's the wiring harness, didn't you say the car was crashed? I have talked to people who have had really... REALLY weird things happen to their SS's that have been in front end accidents.
Best,
Drew
