I'd not worry about being "stranded" in a Saab anymore than any other car. Will a Euro car have issues here and there? Possibly. But this particular Euro car (9-3) is well sorted out by 07-08, and, (this is NOT an insult), its got a Japanese transmission (NOT a Honda one, thank god) and a GM Ecotec engine. Meaning, these are pretty solid components. Anything that leaves you stranded in a Saab isn't Saab specific - that's what I'm saying. Saab's aren't made with parts that are any more exotic or difficult than anything else, especially the compontents that would be responsible for making your camping trip a nightmare.
