I for ones is not a believer in doing a lot of "other" repairs until I have found the problem that the car was brought in for. So the power steering flush and the coolant flush I would not have done, but also, it is clear that they didn't really know or tried very hard to nail the problem down first before starting to suggest and replacing parts since the problem seems to still be present after new spark plugs, flushing fuel system and then replacing all fuel injectors.
What makes you believe that they now are right with the ECM since they were kind of wrong so far. Maybe after the ECM, they will come back saying it needs 4 new ignition coils and after that when they have done a compression test of the engine they find out that it actually need a valve job of exhaust valves removing the cylinder head in the process.
From what you have posted, I just don't feel they have tried very hard to find the "real" problem. But you are also stuck with a lot of money shelled out so far.
I had a similar car about a year ago and it turned out to be one partially burned exhaust valve creating a very slight misfire but not a completely dead cylinder.
