John, thanks for the info. I'll have to look in to that. I have an 07 here I could try it on.

So back to the orginial issue. Now the CIM is giving me problems. Code B1000-36. I tried to go in to the clear DTC's menu and just clear the CIM codes, but the code immediately returned.

I was going to try to add a new ESP/ABS control module, but can't due to the CIM issue. The CIM code is causing the key lock-out to activate. When you go in to the service menu and activate the key lock release, it only stays active for a little bit. The final process in removing and adding the module is turning the key to the off position to clear CIM DTC's, but it cannot since the key will not turn to the off position, only to the middle on position. Any way around that?

It had the same CIM code before when the car was towed in, but it cleared and stayed off. I assumed it only activated since the owner pulled the ABS module. The ECM singal and CIM signal pass through the module, so I figured having the module missing messed with the CIM.

Current plan now is new CIM then try to add the ESP/ABS control module.

Thoughts, anyone? Thanks for the help thus far!
