Wondering if others have had a similar experience.
2004 9-3, B207L, M/T. 47k/mi
Customer came in with a vibration/noise, said it sounded exhaust related.
Upon inspection, pass side engine mount was collapsed. Installed new mount and the vibration is less felt in the cabin but still present on the engine. If you lay your hand flat on the valve cover you can feel what seems like a unbalance in the engine. Felt more in the cabin under load/high RPMS. The engine sounds normal with no chain noise/rattle.
Does this sound like the balance shaft chain tensioner issues I've heard other techs talk about? I don't have much experience with balance shaft chains on these engines, but it appears I'm about to learn all I need to...
