I have a few customers coming up from San Diego just to have their car serviced at my shop.
But as we pointed out, some leaks can be tough to spot and it sounds like the mechanic has done due diligence.
I would test the crank case pressure with the Volvo special gauge for that purpose and if the reading is high, it might be something going on like the other two cars I have some problems with.
And then we have the notorious brake booster pump leak that in itself can dribble oil down the thermostat housing and over the transmission bell housing.
