My wife called me this mornng and said the passenger side wiper arm doesn't swipe. It just quivers a little as the driver's side works.
I immediatley panicked as I remember reading a post from not that long ago that said these transmission were a recent addition to the No Longer Available parts list. As soon as I could fit it into my work schedule this morning I found and ordered one thinking it might be the last 9-3SS/SC wiper transmssion available - forever.
Lo and behold there are 125 of them in North Carolina! And the replacement instructions I found on-line state the most common cause of my wife's wiper problem is a loose nut securing the wiper arm to the spindle so I may not even need the part I ordered. I hope I can cancel it in time to avoid costs if the issue is just a loose wiper spindle nut.
