That is strange unless the new housing is just too big and does not sink down deep enough into the switch. Since you hear the SCL unlock and you don't get an error message, car seems to recognize the key. Try to push it down harder and use a little bit more force to turn it.
These after market housings are quite questionable in quality and design and I have not had any good luck with them lasting maybe a year or so before they start to fall apart.
Your 2011 is a little bit of an oddball in that I have to sign up to Tis2web to program new remotes to them. 2010 and older I have a stand alone system and can make new remotes at any time.
I just jumped through all the hoops last week with a 2011 before I got the remotes programmed.
Had to wake an old W7 laptop since my W10 did not play nicely with the Tis2web subscription.
Have a great new year
Anders
