I think both companies have been greatly improved after Ford/GM purchased each of them & have had big $$$ into the cars/company.
I would just drive them both again & see what you think. Forget about which brand is what & pick what you like the best. Unlike the saab's of the 80's & early 90's the 9-3 SS is actually one of the more reliable vehicles & it also has the highest crash rating in it's class.
My brother purchased a 04 vector a little over a month ago & they have had zero problems with the car. My brothers only complaint is the power of the car, 210 ish HP is OK for his wife but he would like more. Originally, he fellt the car accelerates the same as his 98 900 SET however after talking to him about it last night he beleives the motor is so smooth & the excellent traction with the Nero's makes the car feel much slower then it is, but who know....... still a lot slower then my viggen :)
I am fortunant here in Ohio, one of the top 3 saab dealerships in our country is a few miles from my house & they treat everyone extremely well. Some people still tell horror stories when buying a saab at other dealerships around the country however I am sure that can be said for any manufacturer. Do some research on the local dealership
