Hello Karen,
Sorry to hear about your frustration. I have a 2003 Vector now with 14K miles and have had some similar issues.
First, the brake issue appears to be an ongoing one for many of us. Some users have been able to find ways to have it addressed while others have not had it resolved. I am the latter. Mine still squeek, and my dealer states there is little they can do about it. Second, the presets jumping around is a known issue as well. It is a softward glitch and Saab has not come out with an update to address this (according to my dealer they are aware of it and "working on it"). The rattling: Do a search on this board to locate the fix for this issue. There is one, and you can bring this to your dealer for the fix.
Don't fret. To me, Saab is known for these "quirks" but the essence of the car is still a wonderfully looking/handling/safe vehicle.
Good luck.
-Andrew
