don't know which brands have been updated, though they are all supposed to within some time period. Of course, old stock can be around a while.

I'm biased, since I've been using and selling AMSOIL for over 26 years. I've been using AMSOIL ATF in my Saabs since it came on the market about 18 years ago. Mobil 1 ATF would be my second choice, and then probably Redline.

When I've changed my own, I drain what I can, replace same amount, and drive to mix (10 minutes to 10 days). Then I repeat the procedure at least 2, usually 3 times. By this time, most of the fluid is synthetic and I don't worry about it for the next 50,000 miles (then I'll do a drain and fill). When my daughter bought her used 96 900SET, I provided the ATF and the shop did a full flush.
