9-3 SS burned out clutch at 14k miles

I'm driving, and without warning, the clutch goes straight to the floor. I can't shift gears.
After getting it towed to the dealership, they tell me that it's the hydraulics that push back up the clutch... but after replacing those, (without fixing the problem) they are now claiming that my clutch is worn out. It's a $2200 non-warranty repair.
I don't drive my car hard. And even if I did, doesn't it seem like I would get more than 14k miles out of a clutch? Should I call BS on the dealership here? Is it possible that this hydraulic problem could have caused premature wear and tear on my clutch, which could possibly turn my clutch into a warranty-covered item?
