We have this Linear car. This was exactly what I came up with, with the exception of not wanting the power seats, when I bought a replacement car for my daughter. It was funny when I bought the car with Mike's help, as we had both basically come up with this being a very good bang for the buck set of options. Especially with incentives, and my GM Supplier discounts.
We are very happy with the Linear. The handling is great, and I have never felt it was under powered.
I also agree with the 9-5 option to consider, as I feel it is a safer and more comfortable car. It comes down to slightly crisper handling with the SS, vs long distance improved comfort from the 9-5. (My wife drives our 99 9-5SE 2.3LPT).
It's very hard to hate either of these choices...
Regards,
9-3/9-5 Smitty
