SAAB's using Parts of Other Cars? Say it ain't so!

;-) SAAB has a long and noble tradition of sharing parts with other car manufacturers. Would you buy a SAAB with a Triumph engine? How about a SAAB with a Ford V-4? How about a SAAB that was developed by Fiat and Lancia? Used a GM steering rack? Don't automatically dismiss a vehicle just because it shares parts with another car. SAAB isn't the only manufacturer that does this. Are people calling the Lotus Elise merely a tarted-up Toyota or Rover because it uses engines from these manufacturers. An AC Cobra was only a Ford. Rolls-Royce and BMW used GM automatic transmissions for years. None of this stuff makes any difference if the manufacturer takes the building blocks from another manufacturer and uses them to good advantage.
