remove TB cover
discon intake air temp sensor connector on TBTC
remove two 10mm hex hex bolts
loosen host clamps on rubber coupling
lift TBTC and extract from coupling in one motion
clean TB with cloth and solvent, then spray for remainder, drop of engine oil on throttle shaft pivots as spray is degreaser
undo IAC connector
undo two IAC hose clamps
note IAC orientation
remove IAC, rubber collar comes up off a vertical pin
use a sharp point, end of pocket knife perhaps, move the IAC swing gate open, put something in there to keep it open, spray somewhere well away from the vehicle as spray will trash paint
after all deposits are gone, dry somewhat and oil its two pivots, if a porous bronze bearing is exposed on exterior, oil that too
put back in reverse, so not forget two connectors
tighten two bolts and 4 hose clamps
clean TBTC o-rings and lube with vaseline, white grease or silicone
When TBTC is out, note the inside diameter mismatch to the coupling and intake pipe, thats why it needs to be reworked. Result is smoother power and more torque.
T7 does not have an IAC valve. Motorized TB handles that. T7 does not have TBTC (or its manufacturing defects). T7 still needs TB cleaning. Deposits can interfere with proper motorized throttle motion and create CELs or worse. Getting T7 TB exposed is a but more work than for T5.
A bit late, did this hours ago, but did not finish it.
