All the cool people drive wagons.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Contemplating Purchasing a High Output Saab, Scott Dazey, Wed, 29 Sep 2004 23:02:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
People who frequent this BB are probably saying enough is enough already, but a 9-5 SportWagon is a great choice and really cool. Later models, 2003 and up, with the 5 speed auto and paddle shift may change your paradigm about automatics, but may be out of your price range. The 4 speed autos are pretty good too, especially in sport, but won't change anybodys paradigm. Early 2000 and 2001 Aeros can be had in your price range and would be a good choice. I love the ones with the BBS wheel option.
9-5's have a great overall reliability reputation in objective sources like Consumer Reports and JD Powers. 9-5 are great competitors for 5 series BMW and E class Benz. Saab Aeros have the torque and power of the BMW and MBZ V-8s, but still give excellent fuel economy. Saab 9-5s have all the luxury touches. 9-5 Aeros and most 9-5's have the Harmon Kardon sound system, a truly excellent stereo.
The only better value than a used 9-5 is a new 9-5!
