The point is that the very best 1/4 mile I've ever managed to run is a 14.600 at around 97 mph...which dosen't seem to add-up to smoking a Maxima but in real life it can.
Granted, there's a whole bunch of variables that are unknown.
But to support I can offer the fact that I've passed a BoxterS on the highway between 65 and around 100 from a rolling start where I was slightly behind (he got on it more quickly. After 100 the old Saab suspension is not nearly up to the task--plus aerodynamics take-over). Viggens real sports cars? No way. But they can literally haul a dishwasher, and still surprise many so-called "sports cars".
