There were some learning curve items, mostly as relates to software. That is mechanically the cars were bulletproof, the glitches were software messages, which some techs and service departments warmed up to faster, a learning curve for the dealers too. My customers are all happy now.
I really feel for the rattle folks, this has less to do with the quality of the car and more to do with the quality of the tech and the service department.
Consumers Reports keeps 9-3SS' as a recommended buy and the JD Powers Vehicle Dependability Study for 2004 still has Saab ranked above average despite any first year 9-3SS glitches.
