1999 SAAB 93 SE -45,000 miles resently purchased. Prior to doing a headgasket service car ran excellent (just leaked oil from left front side and water from right front side). Called dealer $1600 to start job. I already bought gasket set and decided to do the job myself. After assembly the 93 had VERY IRREGULAR IDLE EVEN STALLING SOMETIMES. I removed cam cover and checked the timing agian it seemed to be on. I checked all vacuum lines electrical connetors etc. (I'M STUMPED) and no repair manual to help with troubleshoting. I took the 93 to SAAB SERVICE they said it was the DI and plugs (they read the code) fishy but went ahead with their $890 service includeing a CD player install . STILL HAS IRREGULAR IDLE AND CD PLAYER/RADIO IS LOCKED ON SID DISLPAY. I think i got ripped. They then asked about the headgasket service and who done it (me of coarse) they are suggesting the 93 is out of time. POSSIBLE BUT NOT LIKELY. Any other suggestions out there. (code words valve timing, cam timing, IAC sputtering, stalling, DI ). HAPPY THANKSGIVING THOMAS
