Brakes and rotors are definitely a DIY job. You'll save hundreds. And after you've done it once, it's a piece of cake. The nice thing is if you run into any difficulties or problems, there are plenty of people on this board willing to help out.
I just did mine for my '00 SE wgn a couple months back -- front pads and rotors and rear pads. Our indy shop quoted me $510 parts and labor. I bought the parts from tire rack for $250 including shipping and did it myself.
And definitely get ceramic pads. It's SOOOO nice not having all that brake dust on the wheels.
