car stats:
Saab 9-5 Arc
2002
46036 miles
On Jan 12, 2005 my car went into limp mode ad stalled on me (see my post from Jan 12 on this board). I could not restart it. The dealer found error codes indicating a faulty air flow sensor and a bad catalytic converter. The dealer replaced these two parts and changed my spark plugs due to being fouled because of running on too rich of a fuel mixture. I also had the dealer change my car's oil (the dealer uses Mobil 1 100% synthetic oil
I only got it back 1.5 weeks ago and the same thing happened to me again this evening. I was driving and every thing seemed normal. Suddenly I had problems accelerating. Then shortly after I saw a blinking CEL. I pulled over as soon as traffic would allow. My car then stalled on me and would not restart.
The engine turns over normally when I attempt to start the car. The car had been running fine for the past week and a half with no indication of hesitation or lack of pickup until just this evening right before the CEL started blinking.
I'm taking the car to the dealer tomorrow morning. I am assuming that I have the same problem as I did a couple of weeks ago. Could their be a short in the electrical system that is destroying the air flow sensor?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Mike
