same here!! my old '94 900s still runs great and I love it but getting $$$$$! so we decided our next car would be more family size for her and 2 boys and all along I'd get the 9-5 from the day we bought it new in 1999 it was a planned handmedown purchase. anyway, last year we looked at EVERYTHING with 7-8 seats and now gas is so $$$ and my garage is not giant so we had 99% decided on the Pilot for her b/c 8seats for kids, she wanted a SUV, and Pilot is more car feeling than truck feeling. anyway, we recently decided to make the move when the 900 yet once more made me cough up another $1000!! this time it even had to leave on a flatbed! enough is enough. so we went Honda shopping. we wanted the Pilot but the Ody just made so much more sense for family and space, etc. everything except style and ride pointed to Ody over Pilot. they even had 3 new 2004 Pilots still on the lot and would made us great deals. I like the Ody but it isn't a "driving" vehicle. I enjoy climbing around it, storing stuff, etc but driving it is ho hum. it's really hard to be "excited"!!! it's a minivan!! I did think about the new 9-7 coming out but decided I needed a break from the $$$Saab parts cost once the warr ran out. probably paying extra $10k for a Trailblazer so again get GM quality and Porsche parts prices$$. I'll have to be happy being a 1-Saab family again. we've been a 2-Saab family for 6 years! and I got my first on in 1990! if the 9-5 doesnt fair well over the next 5 years, we may have to drop Saab altogether. sad I know. I dont mind the repairs as they've always needed repairs but the $$$parts cost is getting out of hand. GM/Saab has lost their minds! $500 for a fuel pump!?!?!? $500 for a PS pump!?!?! everything is either $500 or $1000.
