A service rep at my dealer told me the other day that once a DIC is replaced, the car never seems to come back again with a dead DIC. Going on to say, 'I wish the original DIC was as reliable as the replacements'.
Is their anything to this statement or is the service rep smokin' something?
Is perhaps the replacement DIC's not any different in hardware, but prove more reliable because they come with updated software?
