Unless you prefer the way the standard wagon rides, buy the Aero. (If you do prefer the way the standard wagon rides, IMHO you should keep looking).
The steep price that the dealer quoted for the CPO certification as well as the presence of those scratches may well be indications that the car was not well maintained. Regarding the scratches, if they are anything really noticeable, you've got to ask yourself two questions:
Why didn't the previous owner have them repaired?
Even if we lease them, most of us who drive high end cars like them to look nice. In addition, it is usually cheaper to have things like that repaired before returning a leased car rather than get hit with extra charges for abnormal wear and tear)
Why didn't the dealer (or those who handled it before the dealer got it) repair the scratches to make the car more saleable ... particularly since the previous lessee may well have been charged for them? One answer may be that the car was is very poor condition when it was turned in and those scratches were the least of the problems that needed to be fixed.
