More detail on the non-Aero would be helpful. Is it an SE V6 or a 2.3lpt?

If it's an SE then KBB says a 2001 SE is worth just a tad more than the older Aero. I it's a 2.3lpt it better have the premium package than it's worth less than the older Aero.

They're really all in the same ballpark. You could be better suited to an SE V6 which sits higher and uses 16" wheels. Or you could be an Aero guy all the way and not mind scraping the spoiler every so often and loving the 17" wheel look and sport chassis and maybe even lusting after the optional Aero 3-piece BBS wheels. The Aero will have more power and yet get greater fuel economy, but the V6 is very sweet and has it's backers.

And black with gray vs sun green with tan is a night and day choice.

I'm curious what additional used car reconditioning the dealer is considering to get the price of the CPO up to $2,500. That's a lot for CPO so they must be doing something above and beyond the warranty and inspection.
