nevermind!!! this guy gave me a great idea and made it clear the only places to go through.
I didn't have a tube and I was running 10-gauge wire (large tube needed) so believe it or not I used a tool from the trusty Saab tool kit from the trunk. first I used a regular torx head (thought less potential damage than a flat or phillips) to poke hole through the lower wire/firewall-hole beside large group of wires. then!!! I used the smallest torx head screwdriver insert (just the metal insert without the plastic handle) and forced it into the 10gauge wire straight on . secured it with duct tape. basically, this make a nice needle to thread the wire through. applied some grease for lub and right through she went!! hope this helps someone else someday
