We have an '02 Linear with the LPT. There is an obvious difference between the performance we get on regular vs. mid-grade. Didn't check the mileage on the regular as the car was still getting broken in when the service folks told my wife to switch to at least mid grade for decent performance. We changed & the performance improved. We get about 24 mpg driving a mix of rural roads and suburban traffic, and 30+ on the freeway on trips.
We use Chevrom almost exclusively as it contains Techron to keep the injectors cleaner. Some folks just buy the stuff & add it. Don't really know how important it is.
The car will adjust to whatever fuel you use, but you just don't get the performance with the low grade gas.
