Have you read about the need for agressive bedding in of EBC pads and the issues with uneven transfer of organics from the pads to the rotors?
Yes, there are issues with EBC pads that can feel like warped rotors, but in fact the rotors are not warped at all. When this problem occurs, it can be eliminated by a series of hard starts that burn the rotors clean.
If one gets into that state that feels like a warp, then if ignored... the result of the uneven heating may be a true warp. Grossly unevenly or over torqued wheel bolts can lead to warped rotors.
Read the link. But I must say that there advice for 'burning in' pads is excessive. But the priciples all apply.
So EBC pads are not for everyone, as one needs to understand more about whats going on than can be expected from all. EBC pads can do this with a sudden extreeme braking event of short duration when the pads are not burned in or have worn down to fresh organics. If one uses the EBC pads agressively on a routine basis, the pad surface stays 'roasted' and this will not occur. So EBC pads are not suited for the driving styles of many drives.
