I have to admit to being intrigued by the 300C. I like the looks, although the gun slot side glass may seem claustrophobic after a while. I have an '03 Aero, which is more to my taste -- small motor, turbo, fwd, European -- but if I was in the market for V-8/rwd the 300C would be it.
Time will tell on the build quality, but I think the D-C merger is starting to pay off. The M-B parts in this car are tried and true. Also, this is a halo car for D-C. It would be a disaster if the cars turn out to be quality dogs. I think they're going to hold up and be a huge boost for Chrysler, enabling them to take share from GM. Why not? Everyone else is.
