To Wagon or Not to Wagon

So I've had this thing about wanting a 9-5 wagon for a while now (to replace the '94 900) and the local dealer has two for a change. Both are 2.3 LPTs: one an '01 with 80,000 miles, manual/cloth, one-owner locally sold and serviced car for $12ish; and the other an '02 with 22,000 miles, auto/leather, off-lease CPO, for $21ish.
How does the 9-5 manual compare to the 900 stick I'm used to? I've always liked manual trannys in little cars; is the 9-5 too big for fun-car driving? Are the cloth seats as comfy long-term as the leather?
I think I'm leaning toward the '01, but I keep liking the miles and warranty of the other. Is a warranty, 58,000 miles, an auto, and a year worth $9000? I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have. Thanks.
