$2k good for '05 Demo.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Advice on 9-5 Arc wagon demo purchase, Wilbur Pan, Sat, 26 Mar 2005 17:54:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
An additional $2k discount for a current model year demo is very generous. When you trade that car in in 3-5 years the extra 3,700 miles will only deduct $600-700 ish.
From your post below you have quoted the sedan incentive, but not the SportWagon, there's no $1,000 Bonus Cash on the wagons so the true incentive is $1,000 less than your impression.
It's a simple matter to check the "in service date" to find out when the car was put into demo service and the warranty clock started. It's not a service loaner is it? Dealer demos or service loaners are normally operated by pretty mature folks so that wouldn't bother me either way. Has it been plated and registered and is therefore a used car that might be eligilbe to be CPO'd? Or is it in fact a new car unregistered, operated on a dealer plate as a demo?
