Plus zero on 16"...room for 16x7.5 wheels ?

I'm interested in the Yoko Avid V4s or H4s. However the weak point of these tires seems to be a slower "turn in response time", than, say, the P-Zero Nero. Neros don't have the right size for a plus zero.

Since I am about to buy new wheels anyway, I wonder if I should get as wide a wheel as possible to help with this transitional issue, and maybe this would help with the "soft sidewall" feeling. Since I live in the Twin Cities, I've gotten "cold feet" on the 17" Plus One idea due to the bent rim problem on the roads, even though I use snows on the old OE wheels. (Still, 235x45-17 Avid V4s may work fine to avoid pothole thrashing as well as the Plus Zero idea???)

Previous posts (thank you Dr Goldberger) suggest that a 7" rim is great, but a 7.5 would add another 0.2" to the tire width, and may be just enough to cause shock tower interference???

ASA AR1 wheels and Mille Miglia VR wheels both come in a 16x7.5, and would be the only choices from Tire Rack.

Anyone thoughts?
