2004 or 2005 models had the PCV issue sorted out (finally) with a new design instead of an "update" that was surely no improvement. This is the only significant mechanical difference that I know of in terms of reliability. 2002+ non Aero models have the 2000/2001 Aero suspension setup so you are still getting a nice performer with the 220hp non Aero models. Don't worry about the sport seats. They are very comfortable for larger frames and cabin space is plentiful. The ergonomics are very similar to the 9000 except the window controls and ignition have been moved to the center console. It will still feel familiar to you.
