you want to have at least 4/32 - less than that especially on wet you sill take a risk. some would want 5. If you are very easy going you might be able to tolerate 3/32, but that's not much reserve for an mergency stop or hard evasive turn, which is what you want to have it for.
If you start with 10/32 and can go down to 4/32, usable is 6/32, you do the math.
the little guage costs about $2 in any auto store. buy one and measure to your heart's content.
