Actually JD Power rates the Outback higher than the 9-5 for mechanical quality and overall quality. Do you agree with Powers's ratings for the 9-5, as a new car, in these areas? Hint - Power has no rating lower than 2 stars.
Consumer Reports rates the 9-5 and Outback equally for predicted reliability.
