We just bought a 2005 9-5 Arc wagon, and I'm pretty sure we looked at every single wagon on the market today. Our choice boiled down to the Outback L.L. Bean edition and the 9-5 Arc. We chose the 9-5 Arc because we liked the ride and the performance of the engine better. AWD is not a necessity where we live (central NJ). Also, the interior seemed roomier in the 9-5.
The silly reason that we went with the 9-5 Arc is memory power seats. The Outback doesn't have them.
