Even cupped tires can play noise tricks on you.
Ever since that intermediate bearing setup showed up in 85 on the 9000 I have never had to replace one so it would be far down on the list of suspects, but still something to keep in mind.
The oil you see is most likely from a seeping cylinder head gasket dribbling down the back of engine block and getting blown over the intermediate shaft.
The splines on the inner/right driver have been wearing out so I would take a good look at that and maybe pull the right driveshaft with driver out and fill it with grease and push it back onto the intermediate shaft.
If the noise goes away, you know you are looking at a bad driver.
