and I find the 9-3 ride is less harsh than the Aero. I think it is mainly because of the 17" wheels and lower-profile tires on the Aero, but I'm not a suspension expert. If I had the '04 Aero to do over again, I would seriously consider the Arc instead and paying out of pocket for the Aero Academy - which was a real blast.
The lower front spolier on the Aero is at risk from many "normal" parking lot dividers and curbs. The lowest parts of my '04 Aero chin spoiler - near the outside corners - were only a little more than 7" above the pavement - about 2 1/2" lower than the same area on my wife's '02 9-5 Linear. That said, if you are careful, you can keep spoiler damage to a minimum. I'd be surprised though if there were very many undamaged spoliers around on Aeros that have been driven for a few months or longer.
