The Aero sport chassis has a 10mm lower ride height than the standard ride height of a 9-5, 9-5SE, Linear or Arc for any Aero year. All 2002's got bigger sway bars and hubs, specifically front suspension geometry was changed to improve steering response. 99-01 cars tug at the wheel mid corner, 02 and up quite a bit less so, steering feels smoother.
2002 chassis improvements were promoted as making the base cars more Aero like which if they did, is very subtle. There's a big diff between standard and Aero sport chassis, dunno' if I could tell the difference between an 01 and 02 standard car 'cept for the steering, it's real subtle.
